About The Event
On the auspicious occasion of the 78th Independence Day 15th August 2024, our NCC Girls’ Band from St. Francis De Sales School had the honor of performing in a prestigious event held at Srimanta Sankaradev Kalakshetra, Panjabari Road. This memorable event was graced by several esteemed dignitaries, including the Governor of Assam, Lakshman Acharya, the Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, Chief Justice Vijay Bishnoi, and the Speaker of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Biswajit Daimary, along with many other distinguished bureaucrats.
A total of 45 girls from our NCC Girls’ Band were invited to showcase their talents at this grand event that started from around 4.30 pm. The performance was part of the larger "Har Ghar Tiranga" campaign, named “At Home” celebrating the spirit of patriotism and unity across the nation. The band display was a proud moment for our school as it received accolades from the dignitaries and attendees alike.
All the participants were awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for their outstanding contribution as part of the Girls' School Band. This acknowledgment highlights the hard work, dedication, and discipline exhibited by our students.
The event was a remarkable opportunity for our students to represent the school and participate in a national celebration. Their performance not only added to the grandeur of the Independence Day celebrations but also brought immense pride to our institution.
